Norma Armida Sihas, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away on October 3, 2023, in Sahuarita, Arizona. Born on November 28, 1952, in Nogales, it was there that she cultivated a life of love and kindness. Norma dedicated over 30 years of her career to working in Customer Service at Citizen Utilities, always treating everyone she encountered with nothing but warmth and compassion.
But Norma's impact went far beyond her professional life. She had a beautiful nurturing heart that radiated love and care for her family. Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her loved ones and cooking for them. Her delicious meals were not only a testament to her culinary skills but also to the abundant love she poured into every dish.
Norma's personality embodied the very essence of kindness and caring. Those who had the privilege of meeting her could immediately feel how special she was. She possessed a rare combination of being hardworking, easy-going, and funny. Every action she took, every word she spoke, was driven by an unwavering love that touched the lives of all who knew her.
Norma is survived by son Julian Antonio Sihas, daughter Norma Armida Durazo, daughter Odette Moreno, brother Ruben Mario Villa, brother Sergio Aurelio Villa, brother Omar Villa, sister Martha Cleotilde Villa, seven grandchildren and her significant other Omer Moreno. Her legacy will continue to live on through each one of them as they carry forward the values of kindness and love that she exemplified.
To honor Norma's memory and celebrate her life well-lived, memorial services will be held on October 19th at Martinez Funeral Chapels in Nogales. The day will begin with a Memorial Service at 10:30 am followed by a Rosary at 12:00 pm. A Mass will be held at 2:00 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The final tribute will be the Graveside Service at Nogales City Cemetery at 3:15 pm.
Norma Armida Sihas was more than just a name; she was a beacon of love and compassion to all who knew her. As we say our goodbyes, let us remember the incredible impact she had on our lives and strive to carry her legacy forward by spreading kindness and love wherever we go.
