She is survived by her brothers, Leo Mares, Arnulfo Mares, Nick Mares, Mario Mares, James Mares, Lorenzo Mares, and Manny Mares; sister, Lidea Mares; daughter, Bernadette Smith; grandchildren, Cameo Anaya, Paul Salazar, and Remor Nigh, as well as 8 great grandchildren.
