Tucson, AZ

Olivia M. Ordoñez, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend left this world on September 3, 2024, in her hometown of Tucson, Arizona. Born on January 16, 1961, Olivia touched the lives of many through her kindness, compassion, and infectious spirit that will forever linger in the hearts of those who knew her.

In her profession, Olivia dedicated herself to serving others as a dental assistant and office manager for Dr. Ron Flores. For many years, she exemplified commitment and care in her role, earning the respect and affection of her colleagues and patients alike. After her retirement, Olivia’s unwavering drive to advocate for others compelled her to pursue a law degree, with the hope of helping individuals navigate challenging situations similar to those she faced. Tragically, Olivia passed away before she could complete her degree, but her passion for justice and her desire to make a difference in people's lives remained steadfast until the end.

An outgoing and cheerful soul, Olivia was truly a beacon of joy. She brought music into every room she entered and could often be found singing, her melodious voice a testament to her vibrant personality. She was deeply devoted to her community, generously volunteering her time as a soccer coach, where she inspired and mentored young athletes. Nothing brought her greater joy than witnessing the success of her nieces and nephews, the pride in her heart unmeasurable as she celebrated their accomplishments.

Olivia is survived by her loving mother, Petra M. Ordoñez; her cherished siblings, Irene O. Swink, Sally M. Ordoñez, Alicia O. Valencia (David), Cecilia O. Delgado (Cruz), Antonio Ordoñez, Jr. (Guadalupe), Adán Ordoñez (Caroline), and Abraham Ordoñez (Priscilla). Her legacy continues with her numerous nieces and nephews, including Adrian, David (Mak), Davina (Lorenzo), Kevin (Montell), Adriana, Ricardo (Natalie), Karina, Emiliana, Ari, Camilo, Quiana (Eli), Maia (Albert), Aiden, and Aron; as well as her great-nieces and nephews, Adelita, Adelina, Adelicia, Allie Mia, Marcelino, Leo Mai, Alori Jay, and Dahlia. Additionally, she leaves behind many close friends who were graced by her presence and warmth.

She was preceded in death by her father, Antonio C. Ordoñez; her brother-in-law, Darryl L. Swink; and her nephew, Waymon Ordoñez. Their memories and love will continue to guide her family as they navigate the profound loss of such a remarkable person.

Olivia’s life was a testament to resilience, love, and the beauty of human connection.
