Orlando "Orly" L. Urbina

Orlando passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday, December 27, 2017.  He was born on March 15, 1942 in Tucson, AZ, where he lived and shared his life with us until his passing at the age of 75. He is preceded in death by his parents, Delia L. & Fernando A. Urbina, brothers, Fernando L. Urbina, Raul L. Urbina and sister Alice Leon.  

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carmen G Urbina; daughters, Monica U Felix and Veronica Reyes (Jim), and sons, Orlando Urbina II and Roman Urbina (Free). He is also survived by his youngest sister, Margie Urbina.

His every reason for living were his grandchildren; Ron Felix (Amanda), Jeremiah Felix, Paul Felix (Joanna), Katrina Felix (Vanessa) and great-grandchildren, Narissa, Jr., Ray, Audrina, JJ, Anthony, Isaiah and Jovanni, who will all miss him dearly. The love, joy and laughter he shared with all of us will be cherished for the rest of our lives.

He retired from the Tucson Unified School District after many years, where he worked as the Head Grounds Keeper for Sahuaro High School. He took very much pride in his work and joy in those he met and worked with along the way. After retiring, he was inducted as a member of the Sahuaro Cougar Faculty Alumni Club. His passions in life were his cars- most notably, his prized '66 Chevelle Super Sport, meeting new people everyday, and spending time with family & friends with whom he offered his endless love & support. Everywhere he went, he delivered smiles and joy to all he came across. We all love you and miss you, dad.

Viewing services will be held at Martinez Funeral Home on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 10am and Celebration of Life to follow at the Martinez Event Hall.
