Rachel Benitez Romo

Rachel Benitez Romo, 77 of Tucson, Arizona passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 19th, 2017. She is survived by her four loving children; Laura Lopez (Martin), Jose Romo (Rita), Tomas Romo, & Carmen Lopez (David); three grandsons, Martin, David, & Andres; four great-grandchildren, Yasmin, Dariel, Charlie, and Joseph and sisters, Elena, Lydia, & Cecilia.  Preceded in death by husband Joseph "Chacho" Romo, granddaughter, Rose Marie "Rosie" Lopez, mother Carmen Martinez & brother George Benitez. Some of the fondest memories of her are of listening to her beautiful voice singing with bands at weddings, mariachis, and with her cousins at family parties. Those memories will live on forever in the hearts of her family and friends.  She loved watching Monday Night Football and was a big sports fan overall. Her favorite pastime was playing bingo where she made many wonderful friends throughout the years. They all loved her dearly. Rachel was an amazing woman and touched the hearts of many with her kindness, her wonderful smile, and her loving nature. She will be truly missed by everyone who knew her. May she rest in peace and continue to sing beautifully with the angels in Heaven.
