Rafael D. Ramirez, 67, passed away on November 26, 2017. He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Rosa I. Ramirez; daughters, Maria Sara Breen, Luz Maria Ramirez and Rosa Isela Ramirez; brother, Jose Ramirez; sister, Maria Carmen Ramirez; 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was affectionately known as “Tata Fish” to his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Rafael was such a hardworker, dedicating 50 years of his life to working to provide for his family. He worked at the mines as a welder for Magma Copper Company in San Manuel, AZ for 36 of those years. There he earned the nickname, “El Wachito” from his co-workers. Rafael was a jokester and would enjoy picking on his wife. He was blessed with a beautiful voice and would always be heard singing. In his past-time he enjoyed watching the Arizona Diamondbacks and boxing with a Marlboro Red cigarette in one hand and a Bud Light in the other or trying his luck at the casino. He will be greatly missed by all who's hearts he touched. A memorial service is scheduled at Martinez Funeral Chapels on Saturday, December 2,2017 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A Rosary will be recited at 12:00 PM.
