Ray led a remarkable life filled with diverse experiences that shaped him into the kind and generous soul he was known to be. A graduate of Nogales High School in 1979, Ray embarked on a fulfilling career journey that saw him traverse various jobs, with a particular highlight being his tour of duty in the United States Army's Armored Division. His military service was one of his proudest accomplishments and a chapter of his life that he reflected on with fondness and great pride. Beyond his professional endeavors, Ray's true essence shone through in the way he cared for his family and friends. He watched over his nephew with love and devotion during their formative years and played an integral role in caring for his mother, Eustolia "Tola" Fernandez, until the end of her days.
