Ramona "Mama Monchi" Arias

Ramona "Mama Monchi" Arias, 86 yrs old, went home to Heaven on September 18, 2018.  Born May 8, 1932 in Mexico.  She is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Armando Z. Arias; son, Armando Arias (Martha); daughters, Elba Orozco (Fernando), Gloria Arias, Rafaela Crockwell (Jaime) and Blanca Arias; sisters, Francisca Villanez, Eulalia Quezada. Also survived by 25 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Ramona is preceded in death by her parents, Francisco and Rita Quezada; sons, Francisco and Benito Arias; daughters, Martina and Lupita Arias; grandson, Armando O. Arias; brother, Alfredo Quezada; and sister, Bertha Quezada. Such a selfless and kind person who dedicated 16 years of her life to foster approximately 30 children as well as care for many pets including a parrot.  In her past-time she tended to her garden and grew beautiful flowers and plants. She always wanted to be sure that her plants were watered. The first thing she would ask you when she saw you was, "have you ate?"  She was an excellent cook and it brought her so much joy to feed her family and friends; flour tortillas and menudo were some of her specialties.  Her home was always tidy and clean.  Nothing meant more to her than being surrounded by her family.  Her children were raised with values as well as an abundance of love.  Our precious wife, mom and nana has left this world and is now with the beloved ones she missed.  The memories we shared will continue to live in the hearts of all she touched.
