Raul Javier Carrasco

November 13, 1973 — January 19, 2025

Tucson

Raul Javier Carrasco, a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2025, in his hometown of Tucson, Arizona. He was born on November 13, 1973, and dedicated over 21 years of his career to ACS International, where he worked diligently with raw materials and composites, contributing to the production of countertops and other products.

Raul was more than just a career man; he was a person of deep character and community spirit. As one of the founding fathers of the first Latino fraternity at Northern Arizona University, he paved the way for future generations, embodying leadership and dedication.

Those who knew Raul described him as a quiet and gentle soul, never missing a family event and always lending a helping hand. He shared a unique bond with his family members, notably with his great-nephew, Levi, often dedicating his time to help him practice basketball. Raul was also fond of maintaining a beautiful yard, a labor of love he shared with his godson, Elliot, as they planted winter rye each year, honoring the tradition for his father, Jose Carrasco, who preceded him in death.

A diehard fan of the Raider Football team, Raul connected with many friends through their shared love of the sport. His passion, however, extended beyond just football; he was a devoted and caring individual who embraced life with warmth and enthusiasm.

He is proceeded in death by his father; Jose Carrasco and survived by his mother, Lipa Carrasco; sisters, Yvonne Abeyta (Stephen) and Susana Deily (Nathaniel); brothers, Felipe Carrasco and Joe Carrasco (Marlene); nieces, Natalie, Katie, Rebekah, Cassandra, and Elizabeth; nephews, Phillip, Elliot, Damon, and Xavier; as well as great-niece, Alexis Noelle, and great-nephews, Joseph, Alex, Levi..

Raul Javier Carrasco’s legacy as a caring family member, a loyal friend, and a dedicated professional will forever resonate in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know him. He will be deeply missed.
