Raymie Alvarez (59), a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on September 4th, 2021 in his home. He was a life long resident of Tucson, AZ. Raymie is survived by his 6 children; Tammy Pantjoa (Vincent Barrio) of Lordsburg, NM, Raymie Alvarez (Yuri) of Tucson AZ, Manuel Alvarez of Tucson AZ, David Alvarez (Haidee Valera) of Tucson, AZ, Elizabeth Salazar (Aaron Salazar) of Tucson, AZ, and Emily Alvarez of Tucson, AZ; 11 grandchildren, Kikis, Romeo, Aaron Christopher, Melissa, Lily, Isabella, Abram, Ryker, baby Raymie, Santiago, and Vincent Jordan; sister, Rosemary Olivas (Maya Olivas) of Lordsburg, NM and many extended family members. He is proceeded in death by his mother, Josephine Alvarez.
Raymie Alvarez was born in Woodland, California to Josephine Alvarez. Raymie was a hardworking man as we all knew him for his plumbing. He worked with C&L for many years. Raymie was a devoted father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Raymie loved scratching lottery tickets, dancing, listening to Tejano music, collecting hot wheels, and drinking his monsters. Raymie was a devoted Arizona Wildcat and Steelers fan. Raymie was a loving, caring, kind soul who would help anyone in need. Raymie will be missed by all but forgotten by none. Services for Raymie will be a viewing ceremony on Wednesday, September 15th 2021 at Martinez Funeral Chapels in Tucson, AZ from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. A burial service will take place in Lordsburg, NM, on September 25th at St. Joseph's Catholic Church beginning with a Rosary at 10:00 am.
