Raymond B. Daniel, 76, went home to Heaven on February 9, 2018. He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Maria S. Daniel; sons, Ramon and Luis Daniel; brothers, Alejandro Daniel (Charlotte) and Oscar Daniel (Irma); sisters, Mercedes Leon (Ramon) and Hortensia Daniel; and Elisa M. Daniel and Louie G. Daniel. He was so passionate about reading that he began a neighborhood library at his home. If he wasn't reading a book, he was working on a crossword puzzle. In his earlier years he would read the local newspaper from cover to cover during his favorite breakfast of chorizo con huevos. Now, during, the digital age, he would spend a lot of his time on his phone browsing through Facebook which brought him so much joy because he made several friends. He also enjoyed watching practical joke videos on Youtube and his favorite character on television, Chespirito. In his past-time he enjoyed playing the guitar and listening to mariachi and country music as well as songs by the Beatles and Elvis. Raymond loved his grandchildren dearly and was an all-around wonderful family man. He has cheered on his Oakland Raiders for many years and was loyal to his Raider Nation. It's never easy to say "good-bye" so we will just say, "see you later!"
