Ricardo Rodriguez, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grand, and esteemed member of the Nogales community, passed away on October 5, 2024, in Tucson, Arizona. Born on October 11, 1938, in Saric Sonora, Ricardo touched the lives of many during his 85 years

Ricardo was more than just a hardworking Warehouse Foreman in the produce industry; he was a cherished figure whose pioneering spirit inspired others. His contributions were not only acknowledged but respected throughout the industry as he innovated practices that have served as benchmarks for others. A certified accountant by education, he seamlessly combined his skills with a passion for the industry that spoke volumes about his dedication and commitment.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, it was Ricardo's warm personality and zest for life that truly defined him. He was a well-known figure, soft-spoken yet humorous, kind-hearted, and a true people person. Friends and family alike recall fondly how he always made time for others, bringing laughter and joy to all he encountered.

The memories shared with family are some of the most treasured of his life. Ricardo delighted in family vacations to Rocky Point and fishing trips that forged deeper connections with those he loved. He was known for his culinary talent, especially his distinctive dish called "Chukie", a creation that has become a family favorite and will be remembered for generations to come.

Ricardo deeply loved his family; he is survived by his devoted spouse, Maria Del Refugio Rodriguez, and a proud lineage that includes his children Marcela Trail, Lourdes Ronquillo (George J. Ronquillo Jr), Irene Valencia (Eddie Valencia), Lucy Rodriguez, Richard A. Rodriguez Jr., and Saul Rodriguez (Erlinda Rodriguez). The legacy of love continues with his grandchildren—Marcela Velazco, George R. Ronquillo III (Iris Ronquillo), Anissa R. Ronquillo, Ashley D. Arenas (Rafael Arenas), Richele Rodriguez, Mateo Rodriguez, Saul G. Rodriguez, Kassandra I. Rodriguez, and Amelia M. Rodriguez—followed by his great-grandchildren Gavyn Reigns Webster, Brianna A. Ronquillo, Regina Ronquillo, George R. Ronquillo Jr., Aizen Arenas, Christopher Matty, and Geavanai Rodriguez.

A sports fan, Ricardo had a passion for baseball, boxing, basketball, and soccer. He also enjoyed walking on the beach and relishing weekends at the casino—moments that brought him joy and relaxation.
