Richard Martin Wisdom, 54

Former resident of Tumacacori, AZ, Richard died on Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021, at Peppi’s House Hospice Care in Tucson, AZ. 

Richard was born on October, 14, 1966 in Long Beach, CA, to Herbert B. Wisdom and Irene Dolores Pesqueira Wisdom. Richard was born with a vivid imagination and a great sense of adventure. For those who never met Richard we wish you could have. He was the perfect combination of Herb and Irene. He was their firstborn son, their partner in crime and their pride and joy. He loved to travel and made it to Europe and his favorite place, Hawaii.

He was funny, honest, sarcastic, witty, raunchy and a scoundrel.

He was the best server Wisdom's Cafe ever had before he moved into the kitchen to cook.

He was handsome, smart and artistic. He loved sketching profiles of people when he was younger while watching his dad play fastpitch softball.

He adored and looked up to his brother, Clifford, and called him “Pa” even though Cliff was the younger of the two. He adored his little brother and took such good care of Cliff when they were little and took him on all of his adventures.

He adored his niece and nephew, Sasha and Griffin, and was so proud to be their uncle.

He welcomed his sister-in-law, Celeste, to his crazy, amazing Wisdom family with open arms and love 3 decades ago.

He inspired such love in people that his dear friend, Frank, moved to Tumacacori just to be with him these last few months.

He was kind and gentle to the end.

Richard is survived by his parents, Herb and Irene; brother, Clifford; sister-in-law, Celeste; niece and nephew, Sasha and Griffin, and numerous tios, tias and primos.

Services will be held on Monday, March 8, 2021 at St. Ann’s Church in Tubac, AZ. The rosary will be held at 10:30 A.M. followed by a mass at 11 A.M. If you are unable to attend, the following is a link to the St. Ann’s Facebook page where the services will be live streamed:
