Rita M. Fajardo

Rita M. Fajardo went home to Heaven on Sunday, January 13, 2019.  Born to Jose Martinez and Ruperta Xochihua Martinez in Bisbee, Arizona. She will be missed tremendously by her beloved husband of 66 years, Alfonso Fajardo, Sr.; children, Alfonso (Al) Fajardo Jr. and wife, Leticia, Blanca Fajardo and Edgar Teran and wife, Sandra; her grandchildren whom affectionately called her "Mamaita", Amy F. Gomez, Alfonso J. Fajardo Jr., Erica Soza, Yvette Favela, Monica Lerma, Ricardo Teyechea, Bianca Teyechea, Edgar Alfonso Teran, Alan Eduardo Teran and Brianna Renee Teran; brother, Jose Martinez; 18 great-grandchildren and all of the friends that she treated like family.  An amazing cook known especially for her homemade tortillas and beans.  A very loving but strict mother who believed in instilling respect, honesty and a good work ethic in each of her children; known to tell them, "if you break the law, I'll take you in myself!"  A devote Catholic with a strong faith and caring heart.  Always happy and found joy tending to her beautiful flowers as well as feeding the birds.
