After a long and brave battle with brain cancer, Bob took his final breath here on Earth in the early morning hours of September 21, 2022. In his final days he was surrounded by family and friends, both new and old. His wife (Steph), and his children (Bobby, Mikelynn, Katie, Jay, Joe and Nisa) will always be filled with great pride that their husband and father battled his illness like he battled everything- with amazing bravery. Bob fought this cancer fiercely with his family by his side over the last year, including his granddaughters Amber and Lilley. Bob joins his identical twin brother (Bill Boysen) and his father-in-law (George Salinas) and so many others that he spoke so often about missing. Along with his wife and children, Bob’s loving team at the Southern Arizona Veterans Hospice Unit, his cousin Isabel Oroz, and his friends, Layla Poncé, and Trini and Romie Rodriguez (and their children), honored Bob daily in his final months, for which he was beyond thankful. Military friends and their families that Bob befriended over his service time, newer friends he made while at DM Air Force Base, and the Department of Justice, others that Bob impacted daily, and Bob’s parents (Bob and Kay) will carry on with Bob in their hearts. Better for having known him and saddened at having lost him, all take comfort in knowing that he is in God’s glorious kingdom free from any more suffering or pain.
