Robert Duran

Robert was born April 10th, 1944 in Tucson, Arizona to Francisco and Luz Duran. He graduated from Salpointe Catholic High School in 1962 and attended Pima Community College. On August 9th, 1965 he married Victoria Lee Gaona. He was employed by Pima Mine until 1984 and retired from Arizona Department of Corrections in 2005. He was active in the Knights of Columbus council 1200. He was an avid Bowler. Robert is survived by his wife Sarah Duran and his 3 daughters, Enedine Peralta (Anthony Peralta), Jacqueline Duran (George Garman), Lorine Duran (Jorge Ballesteros), Grandchildren Raymond and Czarina Peralta, Jason Mannino and Joshua Duran , Angel, Marie, Jesus, Jorge Ballesteros, step children, several nieces and nephews. Also survived by his sister Frances Duran and brothers Frankie Duran, Danny Duran, Greg Duran, and Jon Duran; also, 5 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his first wife Victoria (Gaona) Duran and brother Peter Duran. Viewing will take place at Martinez Funeral Chapels on Monday, July 10, 2017 from 8:00 am to 9:30 am. Mass will be offered at Our Lady of Fatima at 10:00 am. Burial will follow thereafter at Holy Hope Cemetery at 11:30 am. Celebration of life to follow at El Casino Ballroom 437 E 26th St, Tucson, AZ 85713. Services entrusted to Martinez Funeral Chapels.
