Robert Hernandez, beloved husband, father, tata, uncle, brother, brother in law, nino, and dear friend gained his wings on August 16th, 2023 at the age of 67.
He was preceded in death by his son; Jason Hernandez, mother; Josephine Pulido, father; Jesus Hernandez, step father; Sabino Arredondo, brother; Daniel Arredondo, mother and father in law; Melba and Rafael Garcia, and son in law Marcos Sanchez.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years; Gloria Hernandez, sons; Rafael, and Raymond (Krystle), daughter; Bernadette, grandchildren; Lianna, Tristan, Jasmyn, Carminah, Josiah, Camilah, Roman, and Luciano.
Robert was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA which is where he met his high school sweetheart and wife Gloria. They were blessed with four children, and in the early 90’s uprooted and establish their life in Tucson, Arizona. During his children’s childhood and adolescent years he became a well know coach and supporter in the local Tucson football and baseball communities where his support and guidance to players and peers was greatly respected and appreciated.
Robert was always a provider, hard worker, and an extremely determined and dedicated husband and father. He worked incredibly hard to establish his career and reputation as a successful High Voltage Electrician, and took so much pride in his work and the working relationships he built with his clients. With the skills and experience he learned, he achieved his goal to own and operate his own business in the electrical industry.
Robert enjoyed hosting, grilling/bbqing for his family and friends, and the many Miller Lite,7 and 7’s, and wine which were his go-to spirits while watching his favorite football team- The RAIDERS. He was very fortunate to be able to take family and friends on memorable vacations to Hawaii, which he loved dearly and shared his appreciation for the Hawaiian culture with many.
Robert will always be remembered as the rock and core of The Hernandez Family. His dedication, strength, values, integrity, and beliefs that he demonstrated will forever live through his family and friends, and will allow his spirit to live on in our hearts.
