Roberto Eduardo Valenzuela AKA Bobby V was born in Nogales, Arizona March 29, 1942 to Arthur and Lilly Otero Valenzuela. He passed on December 17, 2023. To write Bobby V's story would take a book but a couple of highlights follow. In 1993 at the age of 50 he completed his 50th state jump using a Suzuki 650 parachute. He did this in less than one year, becoming the first skydiver to jump in all 50 states! In 2017 he completed a 2-year trip from the tip of Alaska to the tip of South America on his Honda 750 Shadow. He was 78! He spent time in every state and country in Central and South America before returning to Marana. Bobby V never met a stranger, most became his friend. And it was that vast family of friends including Los Vatos, the Rebel Jumpers of Eloy and the Marana skydivers, VFW Post 5990, along with the many, many friends he made during his travels that became his family. He was very well read, funny, sharp, the kind of worker that works harder than most and a true friend who was always ready for the next challenge. He was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Lilly, and his brothers, Artie, Dickie, and Marky and is survived by brother James and sister Linda. A viewing will be held January 6 at Martinez Funeral Home at 1:00pm followed by a military service at Marana VFW Post 5990 at 3:00pm. "Viaja a través de las nubes y ve con Dios mi amigo"
