Chanate, as he was best known was a great son, brother, father. uncle, grandfather and friend. He was the youngest of the brothers. He had a heart of gold towards everyone, especially if it was family. There wasn't anything he wouldn't do for his family. The kind of man that would take the time to do for others, without thinking about himself first. He always was very passionate about his work. Although he did a little bit of everything, his favorite occupation was being a tile setter. He was a perfectionist when it came to his work. While he was doing his work, sometimes you would have to do a double take to see who he was talking to. Come to find out, he was talking to himself. Either he was telling himself "Perfect, al chingaso" or he was telling himself off "No hombre, ya la regaste" because it didn't meet his expectation of perfection. Chanate was more of a giving soul, and he obtained a personal satisfaction out of doing for others. If he made you smile, that was all he needed to know that he had done the right thing, no matter what it was. He wasn't very good about asking for stuff when he liked or wanted something so he worked hard to get everything he liked. He loved cars, but not the newer models or fancy cars. He liked old and most of the time, not the best looking cars. In his lifetime, he owned a few vans and some of his family would say "Here comes Chanate in his Scooby Doo Mobile".
He adored his kids, Karla, Bobby and Leonor. They were the meaning of his life. He enjoyed every second he spent with them. His kids may have not always known, but he always included all three in his every plan. He always wanted them to be a part of his life and to make sure that they would stay close to the family. He was very proud of his grandchildren. He always had something good to say about them and just talking about them would bring a smile to his face. He always was very proud of his kids. He left us way too soon. He may be physically gone, but will forever live in our hearts.
