Roberto Garcia Gonzalez, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on August 25, 2023. He led a colorful life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Born on January 29, 1942, Roberto brought joy and happiness to all those he encountered.
Roberto was known for his infectious sense of humor and his ability to lighten any room with laughter. His quick wit and good-natured personality endeared him to everyone he met. Whether it was a well-timed joke or a playful prank, Roberto always had something up his sleeve to bring smiles to the faces of his loved ones. Y siempre queria saber lo que estaba pasando.
A true master in the kitchen, Roberto had a special talent for making delicious soups that warmed the hearts of his family and friends. Many fond memories were made gathered around the dining table as they savored his culinary creations. His passion for cooking extended beyond the kitchen as well. Roberto would often be found dancing in the living room while concocting new recipes or simply enjoying the music that filled his soul.
Music was one of Roberto's greatest joys in life. From heartfelt ballads to joyful mariachi tunes, he found solace and happiness in every note. Whether it was belting out songs during family gatherings or simply humming along to his favorite tunes while working on his hobbies, music always played a significant role in Roberto's life.
Nature was where Roberto found peace and tranquility. Camping trips under the starry sky and fishing excursions provided him with moments of serenity away from everyday life's hustle and bustle. These were times when he could connect with nature and recharge his spirit.
Roberto's family held a special place in his heart. The bonds he forged with his children were unbreakable and filled with unconditional love. He leaves behind his devoted sons Eric Gonzalez (Jeanne) and Roberto Tapia, as well as loving daughters Roberta Carmen Gonzalez (Ricardo Melgoza) and Elizabeth M. Gonzalez.
His 8 grandchildren, Anthony, Jovan, Cesar Jr. Santos, Andrea, Julieta, Tizok, Elena, and his three great-grandchildren will forever cherish the numerous memories they made with their beloved grandfather. Roberto's brother Daniel Gonzalez and sister Julieta Mavrikis also mourn his loss with many nephews and nieces.
A visitation will be held on August 31, 2023, at Martinez Funeral Chapels in Tucson. The visitation will be followed by a prayer service at the same location. The final farewell will take place during a graveside service at Holy Hope Cemetery in Tucson. Roberto's final resting place will be among nature's beauty that he so adored.
Roberto Garcia Gonzalez's passing has left a void in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. Although he may no longer be with us in person, the memories he created and the love he shared will continue to live on in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to a charity of your choice in Roberto's memory. Let us remember him for his warm heart, contagious laughter, and unwavering love for his family and friends. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
