Roberto G Lopez

Roberto G. Lopez, 77, was reunited in Heaven with his parents, Ramon and Theodora Lopez, on July 27, 2018.  He is survived by his beloved wife, Maria B. Lopez; sons, Martin Lopez; daughters, Jessie Dean (Jose) and Imelda Toles (Kevin); brothers, Francisco Lopez and Jose Lopez; sisters, Theresa Martinez and Anna Maria Jury; grandchildren; Maritza Dean (Alexis), Joey Dean (Ashlee), Julie Tarango (Gjerm) and Nikola Toles; great-grandchildren, KJ Douglas, Amya Douglas, Jenessa Dean and JD Dean; Angel Tarango and Darlene Harris and many other extended family and friends.  Roberto had a very special love for his bride, Maria.  They met as children at the age of 12, began dating at the age of 15 and later married at the age of 21.  Their romance lasted for 56 years and he let it be known that "no woman on Earth could compare" to the love of his life.  He often reminded his children that their mother was more precious to him than gold and although he always showered her with gifts; he thought nothing was good enough for her.  Always seen together and holding hands everywhere they went gave them nicknames like, "Los Pajaritos de Amor".  He had a love for horses and was a proud collector of model classic cars.  Old westerns and Christmas movies were his favorite to watch on his comfy recliner while eating his favorite Little Debbie zebra cakes and drinking tea.  His intimidating presence and constant use of obscenities made his daughter's suitors shake at the knees but once they were married he embraced his son in-laws and called them "mis mijos."  His kind heart and giving nature was very apparent to those around him.  Our hero has gone from earth but is now our guardian angel.
