Rosa Belia Canez

Rosa went Home to the Lord on October 26, 2022, at the age of 78, surrounded by her family. She was a daughter, a sister, a wife, a wonderful mother, caring grandmother “Nana”, and a friend “Rosita” to many.

Rosa was preceded in death by her mother Artemisa ConcepcionTrujillo, father Manuel Eduardo Trujillo, and husband Jose B. Cañez. She will be forever remembered by her daughters, Teresa Cañez-Contreras (Larry), Ana M. Bustamante (Carlos), and Elisa Coté (Robert); her siblings Manny Trujillo (Susie), Irene Castro (Nicolas), Rudy Trujillo (Janice), Gilberto Trujillo (Irene), and Concepcion De La Huerta (Joseph); and her grandchildren Danitza Contreras, Ana Lucia Bustamante, Jose Carlos Bustamante, Loren Maria Contreras, Andrea Sofia Coté, Carolina Bustamante, and Elias Benjamin Coté. Rosa also had many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends that loved her very much.

Rosa had many roles during her time here on earth. She was a housewife, loving mother, loved working with flowers, a businesswoman, and a devout catholic. Rosa was very grounded in her faith. She was very active serving God and her church for many, many years. She made a lot of friends and her giving personality shined through with everything she did. Her passion for serving led her to teach, travel, and make wonderful, caring friends.

Her family and friends will miss her big presence in their lives but find comfort in knowing she is at peace and resting as the good and faithful servant she was. Her family would like to thank everyone for all the prayers and support.

Services will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Friday, November 4, 2022 beginning with a Visitation at 10:00 a.m. and a Rosary recited at 11:30 a.m. Mass will begin at 12:00 p.m. followed by a burial at the Nogales Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
