Ruben L Negrete

Ruben L. Negrete was blessed with 93 years of life until the day he went home to be with his Lord and Savior on June 3, 2017.  He is survived by his beloved bride of 62 years, Rosa Delia Negrete; children, Guadalupe Jeong (Husband - Edward Jeong Jr), Elizabeth Negrete, Luis Ruben Negrete, Teresa Ramirez (Husband - David Ramirez) and Diana Negrete; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.  He was born in Cananea, Sonora, Mexico on October 8, 1923 to Lucas P. Negrete and Maria Loyola.  Ruben was an avid reader and was an artist; he loved to draw and paint.  As a business owner,  he provided for his family up until the age of 85 years old.  Ruben was very protective of his family and was a disciplinarian to his children but enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren.    He kept up with the news and politics, often sharing his knowledge with his family and friends.  He was a great negotiator and could sell anything to anyone.  Although he will be greatly missed, his memory will live on forever in the hearts he touched.  Funeral services will be at Sacred Heart Catholic church and begin with a visitation at 9:00 a.m., Rosary at 9:30 a.m., Mass Celebration at 10:00 a.m. and followed by a burial at Nogales Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to Martinez Funeral Chapels, 891 W. Mariposa Rd., Nogales, Arizona.
