When tomorrow starts without me, don’t think we’re far part. For every time you think of me I’m right here in your heart. Our beloved Sean was taken from us way too soon. Sean flashed his first smile January 6, 1987 in Phoenix AZ to his parents Cynthia Dian Howell and “Mommy” Dawn Hammond. He glimpsed his last sunset September 6, 2020. Sean is preceded into heaven by “Mommy-Dawn” and his cousin Angelina “Mini-Mama” Shipman.
Growing up in various parts of the country, Pittsburg PA, Killeen and Austin, TX, Colorado Springs CO, San Bernardino, CA, Honolulu, HI, Wichita, KS, Phoenix and Tucson AZ, he called the world his home. He recently returned to Tucson be with his Queen-Mom and his long-time confidant Cereessa Marie.
He attended Waipahu High School in Hawaii and Desert View in Tucson where he graduated in 2005. Sean was a gifted athlete playing baseball, basketball and football for his alma mater in Waipahu and Tucson. In football he set a school record with a 95-yard kick-off return during his junior varsity year. Sean was an accomplished auto mechanic with untapped potential for restoring old cars. His life-long dream was to own his own auto garage. Sean had an enormous heart and a mega-watt smile that engendered others to him wherever he went. He knew no strangers and would enlighten you with knowledge. In short, he was a talker. That was his special gift; giving and sharing. His goal was to leave everyone smiling. He told simple stories to get his point across. One of his favorites, by which he, lived is, “Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So, love the people who treat you right, forgive the ones who don't and believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it.”
Those cherishing his memory are: his Queen-Mom, Cynthia Dian Howell of Tucson; long time best friend Ms. Cereessa M. Fidler, grandparents Odell and Vala Ree Howell, Palm Bay, Florida; beloved brothers, Ricky Armour, Robert Hernandez, Joseph Duarte (Lissette), Taji Norrise (Tamika) and Tobias Washington. Uncles: Odell Howell Jr (Dahlia) Tucson; Othell Howell, Palm Bay, FL; Aunties: Dorothy Hernandez (Vic) Melbourne FL; Joyce Howell, Ft Hood, TX and Doris Howard of Colorado Springs, CO. Of all the special gifts in life, however great or small, to have you as my son was the greatest gift of all.
