Therese Marie Vayre

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Therese Marie Gastelum Vayre, who was born on February 10th, 1962, in Nogales Arizona and passed away suddenly on January 24th, 2025.

Therese was the beloved daughter of Sylvia and Jimmy Gastelum (Jo Ann Gastelum, Liz) A devoted older sister to Sandra Gastelum. Therese was the loving wife of Jon Vayre, whom she married in 2009. She was the proud and devoted mother of Zelinda and William Ybarra (Veronika Ybarra) and an adoring Nana to her three grandchildren Alana, William and Abigale Ybarra.

Therese developed her love of roping and ranch life while competing in many rodeos throughout her adolescence. In 1980 Therese graduated from Sahuarita High School. She went on to have a successful career at FedEx, for over 35 years, where she worked until her retirement in 2021.

Therese had a passion for golfing, traveling and sunshine, she could often be found enjoying her hobbies with friends, family and her community. She will be remembered for her kind heart, infectious laugh and unwavering love for her loved ones.

Therese will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched. May her brother Tony Gastelum welcome her into his warm embrace as we all await to meet again.

Services will be held on March 08, 2025 at Our Lady of the Valley Parish. 505 N La Canada Dr,Green Valley, AZ 85614 Rosary Will begin at 11:30 a.m. Mass at Noon.
