Wynn Brian Wolfe, 77, of Pasadena, Sierra Madre and Arcadia, and most recently of Tucson, passed away at dawn on April 28, 2020. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Wolfe, son Marc Wolfe [daughter-in-law Jubie Wolfe], son-in-law Napoleon Tercero, grandchildren Stephanie Tercero, Raelene Wolfe and Preston Wolfe, and his two brothers Monte Wolfe and Dan Wolfe.
Wynn was a beloved husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother and confidant to so many who cherished his calming sense of wisdom — and of course — his witty sense of humor.
He gifted so many of us as a cutting-edge hairstylist. He inspired us with forward thinking and his ability to orate and dictate those thoughts. He wowed us with his art created with graphite on paper, oil and canvas, and later, his use of the iPad medium to create stunning masterpieces one would think impossible to create electronically.
There aren’t enough words in the English dictionary (any language’s dictionary for that matter) to describe Wynn Wolfe. Perhaps that he was a “Wynn-Wynn” for us all is most appropriate.
One thing is for sure, summarized so poignantly by a longtime friend of his named Debra: "Wynn is probably loathe to leave, but excited on his journey". We all knew and know this to be true which should bring us all a sense of relief.
While his departure is painful for those of us earthbound, he now has the pleasure to spend some well-deserved time exploring the universe with his daughter — Jill Wolfe-Tercero. That’s pretty special!
There will be no formal funeral or procession. He didn’t want that, not to mention it’s just not possible at this time. His ashes shall remain encapsulated here in his home’s garden in Tucson. The place he called his “Shangri La”.
We are planning to host a series of celebrations via video conferencing for his immediate family, friends and colleagues. We will reach out to all of you with additional details on or about May 15th. In addition, www.wynnwolfe.com currently hosts his bio (see “About” under the “Main Menu” in the upper-right corner), and various prolific writings. The website will be enhanced to include a history of his life in photos, art, and much more. You are welcome to check out his current web/blog site now for a taste of his wisdom, and again on or about June 1st for the updated version of everything Wynn.
Thank you all for being part of my Pop’s (Wynn’s) life. What an incredible human he was. What an incredible spirit he is, and will continue to be…
