Rene Martinez

Rene Martinez, 49, was called home on June 1, 2020 in Rio Rico, Arizona surrounded by his family. He is surived by his loving wife of 27 years: Diana Martinez; Son: Rene J. Martinez, Jr.; Daughters: Kiana Lynae Martinez, Nicole Marie Martinez and Victoria Alicia Martinez;Mother: Maria Luisa Martinez Brother: Pedro Martinez; Sisters: Clarissa Figueroa (Alfredo) and Marcia Martinez; Father and Mother in-law: Albert and Frances De La Ossa; Sisters In-law: Emma De La Ossa, Clarisa Paco (Gerardo), Barbie De La Ossa and Anette Serrano (Tavo); Many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. 

There’s a huge void left in our lives because Rene was larger than life.  He was a devoted father and adoring husband who would rather spend time with his family than anyone else.  He took so much joy in planning his weekend carne asadas for them.  An avid motorcycle rider who had an old soul.  He enjoyed sharing his stories with whoever listened.  He took so much pride in his home, old cars and two motorcycles.  Such a hard working man that provided well for his family. In his past time he enjoyed taking walks, listening to music and watching movies.  His favorite vacation spot was San Diego, California, it never got old going there for him even though his family always tried to persuade him to take them somewhere different.  Rene is unforgettable.  He fought a good fight to stay with his family but we know he is now our guardian angel and will remain by our sides until we meet again.
